Tried and True Tuesday

PIZZA! It's so easy and completely customizable. We just buy the dough pre-made from Trader Joes and whatever fixin's we're in the mood for.

This pizza had pizza sauce, sweet chicken Italian sausage, frozen artichoke hearts, fresh baby portabello mushrooms, sliced fresh tomatoes, diced garlic, and the Quattro Formaggio cheese blend. I also chopped up a frozen basil cube and let that melt all over the pizza as it cooked. All of my ingredients for this particular pizza were from Trader Joes, but you don't have to have a TJs close by to make a yummy homemade pizza tonight.

We use a large rectangular cookie sheet and stretch the dough to fit, making a very thin crust. Then cover with sauce, and sprinkle desired toppings. This is really a healthy alternative to ordering out, and it doesn't take much time or effort. If you make homemade, you control the quality, quantity, and calories.

Enjoy!
